John Mabry's New Position
Always one of the hardest workers on the Cardinals team, John Mabry is now attempting to learn yet another position: third base. With new acquisition Mark McGwire slated for first base for the next several seasons (barring injury), third base may be Mabry's best chance to stick with the Cardinals.
But while there has never been much doubt that Mabry can hit for average, manager Tony La Russa no doubt expects more from Mabry in the power department as well.
