Fireworks in the Dome...
and More!
posted January 16, 2000

The pre-game fireworks at Sunday's Rams-Vikings playoff game at the TWA Dome served as an accurate preview for the football that followed.

Or was it pinball.

In the first-ever NFL playoff game held in St. Louis, the Rams defeated the Vikings, 49-37.

For the Rams, the game began with a Kurt Warner to Isaac Bruce TD pass...

And the game ended with Warner "taking a knee".

But in between...would you believe Ryan Tucker (50) corralling a Warner TD pass?

And loud? The noise level in the upper reaches of the TWA Dome, heightened by the encouragement of several Rams (including Mike Jones and Todd Lyght), at times rivaled the old Barn on Oakland Avenue...

And that noise may have played a part in a crucial Vikings second-half fumbled snap...

Bring on the Buccanneers!
