Not so rare, though, is Vina (below) putting the baseball into play with a hitting style that seems reminiscent, at times, of Ozzie Smith. How so? Vina's bat seems to direct the baseball over the heads of infielders...but in front of the outfielders. A refreshing change from recent-vintage strikeout-happy Redbirds, eh? |
