EDITORIAL posted August 20 ![]() Rams defensive coaches (including coordinator Peter Guinta above) spent a lot of time grousing about defensive lapses in last night's game vs. Buffalo. In a high-scoring game, the Rams lost 31-27. But there were a number of miscues on the offensive side of the ball, too. ![]() An important part of the Rams Super Bowl offense was the screen pass. Versus the Bills, the screen was not a real weapon...as Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk failed to hook up (above). ![]() Tight end Roland Williams had two fumbles...including one on a TE-screen (above) and another while reaching for a touchdown (below). ![]() You can't fault Williams' effort, who lost control of the ball just prior to crossing the goal line. ![]() Close call, eh? ![]() The Rams appealed the play...but were properly denied... ![]() ...while Rams fans are appealing for a return to 2000 Rams football. |
