The '99 edition of the Cardinals have arrived at the proverbial fork in the road.

As this is written (June 21), the Cardinals are two under .500 (33-35)...a record good enough for fifth place in the NLC, eight-and-a-half games behind Craig Biggio, Jeff Bagwell, and the first-place Astros.
